My dear reader,

I hope you are doing well today, and welcome to my blog!

This picture was taken on the occasion of the book launch by Dr. Shourkaei, Ph.D. in Ancient History and the translator of the “Discours de La Servitude Volontaraire written by Etienne de La Boetie from French to Farsi.

We all might know that without the translation we would have been living in the provinces not being capable of crossing the borders, educate ourselves, get familiar with new ideas, and improve. I find translators as one of the most important professionals who can transform history, culture, thoughts, experiences, feelings all at the same time without changing them. The beautiful and invaluable results of their efforts are enrichening the societies, people’s mind and lives.

Being in Dr.Shourkaei’s conference and listening to his speech, learning from him and being inspired by his passion to translate this challenging book was quite enjoying and it opened my eyes about how we (people) could make ourselves the slaves of the cruelty. Sometimes we are the ones who voluntarily give the power to the unfaithful ones to destroy societies, people, and their lives!

One of the interesting quotes that I liked in his book about cruelty powers is the following:

Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces.”
― Étienne or Estienne de La Boétie

The powers in the world have been chosen by us, our decision and support! We can change the societies’ future, peoples’ lives, and write the history that we want to have by gaining a clear vision about what is going around the world, what and who we should support or not.

I am reading the rest of the book and I feel it helps me every day to make my mindset clearer and my vision more transparent about my actions, decisions, and thoughts.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog! If you have any comments or have any questions regarding the upcoming events that I either attend or organize, please do not hesitate to reach out to me on my official Facebook page:

Thank you and love you all!
